I'm wondering who will come visit first:
Kelly
Alan
Frisher
Gavin
I know my mom and in-laws will be here for Kyla's birthday, so they don't count. Frisher should be up here for Phish in June... not sure if that counts :-) I think Kelly is a long-shot. Gavin is a few hours drive, but he seems lazy to drive like me (I'll probably go to his place before he comes here). Alan will surely come at some point, but not sure when.
Posted by Kevin at April 30, 2004 10:04 AMI am planning my trip now but everyone seems freaked about me driving up with the girls. I know I can do it! I love to drive...
Posted by: Kell on April 30, 2004 11:43 AMI did the drive with Kyla, and wasn't bad at all. Kayla shouldn't be a problem, not sure about the little one.
Posted by: Kevin on April 30, 2004 11:49 AMI cannot imagine there being any issues with Lily... I think my safety is more of their concern because I'm a guuuurrrllll.
Posted by: Kell on April 30, 2004 02:32 PMKell, you in florida? maybe we can carpool to kevin? :)
You know, that's almost not a bad idea if you guys were both able to stay the same amount of time. That would solve the "safety" issue, could split gas costs and driving. You guys only live 20 minutes, or so, away from eachother.
Posted by: Kevin on May 1, 2004 10:20 AMThat is a great idea! When can you go?
Posted by: Kell on May 3, 2004 09:51 AMi'm thinking julyish...how's that for you kell?
Posted by: alan on May 3, 2004 07:48 PMActually, perfect. Dave has inventory the week before the 28th and that is when I was planning on heading up. Suz was saying that coming during the week and staying through the weekend would be best for her. Kevin - ?
Don't forget the drive would also encompass having the two girls with me... will that be too much for ya'? Plus, I smoke but would obviously refrain if you were bothered. Otherwise, I think its a great idea.
Posted by: Kell on May 4, 2004 10:19 AMDoesn't matter to me, I'm always home :-) It would be best to make sure you are here for a full weekend.
Posted by: Kevin on May 4, 2004 10:30 AMI was waiting for my invite :)
As soon as I get the snow tires off my car I can come.
Posted by: Gavin on May 5, 2004 10:11 PMYeah - its a road trip!
Where are you, Gavin?
Sorry Gavin, my engraver broke so I couldn't engrave your invite and mail it to you ;-) The invite is open.
I still have the snow tired on the truck. Not sure what to do with them when I take them off. Figured it may cost the same money to let them wear down, then buy new ones next Winter as buying regular tires now and having to store these ones, and storing the regular ones next Winter.
I'm in VT (near Burlington), probably only 3 hours or so away from KM.
KM-put the tires under your deck.
Posted by: Gavin on May 6, 2004 08:40 PMAccording to MapQuest, from my house to Church Street in Burlington it is 2.5 hours (115 miles, so should be less than 2.5 hours).
I've thought about them under the deck. I guess I could wrap them in a tarp and shove them under there. I'd rather just get a new car and save myself the hassle :-)
Posted by: Kevin on May 6, 2004 10:59 PMMaybe the first weekend in June is possible, I just got to survive a visit from my parents in a couple of weeks time :)
